Any of us who have worked in science long enough, and hold a clear definition of ethics, have probably witnessed instances of unethical behavior in science, ranging from the 'massaging' of data to outright fraud. Getting a feel for just how prevalent unethical behavior is, is a more difficult matter, and certainly some fields are more prone to it than others.
